WUT is a leading technical university in Poland, and one of the largest academic institutions in Central Europe. It is organised in 19 faculties and 1 college covering almost all fields of technology. It employs about 2,500 academic staff. The capital of the Republic of Poland, is located on the Vistula River, in the central part of the country, with very good connections by air and rail. Its population of about 2 million of residents places Warsaw among 10 most populous cities in the European Union.
